Although it is difficult to fully appreciate the look and texture of the Grasses on Amate without seeing them in person, I’ve provided 2 close-ups. This gives you a better idea of the richness of texture and the warmth of tone.

Presenting 2 zone plate Texas landscapes with some additional manipulation.

“Reeds And Grasses Of Texas” is my new series of images from Texas.  Each image is unique.  Some are shot as double or triple exposures in the camera while others are multiple single images overlayed  in the computer.  They are printed on hand made Amate paper (not shown here).  Amate has been made for centuries  from the inner bark of trees by the Otomi people of Mexico.  Each piece of art is a distinct blend of natural elements and is my personal expression of  regional landscape.

This art is available for purchase at Gallery Off The Square in Georgetown, TX.
