Hi all. Welcome to my site. I am an award winning photographer with particular interests in water reflections and zone plate photography. Many of my images are taken as I kayak along the Otter Creek in Vergennes and Panton, Vermont. Join me as I explore the landscapes and waterscapes of Vermont and beyond.
9/2/09 I find I am in a transition stage at the moment. I’m not happy with current work and looking to further define my areas of interest and expertise. I am once again happily studying with Stephen Schaub and I look forward to some hard work.
12/14/09 I have found montage and layers to be very exciting and I look forward to more exploration and discovery along those lines. I am making a significant life change with a move to Texas in January. This will be like moving to a foreign country. I have only visited the state a few times and I know it will be an exciting time for this native east coaster. Please bear with me as I may not be able to post regularly for a while.
7/26/10 Much to my surprise, I am really enjoying Texas. I am surviving in the heat because of an air conditioned house. I find I’m using montage or layers for much of my work. I’m starting with an image and going beyond the documentation of that image. I’m putting my own interpretation on the image and moving beyond the moment in time reality. Often what appears is somewhat surreal.
8/22/11 I am thrilled with the Grasses of Texas series and the the organic nature of the images when printed on the Amate paper. This one of a kind work is only available from me.
